Of all my relationships

You have been so tough

Toughest to ever deal with

Sometimes I ponder

And in my pondering I wonder

Where exactly are you from;

Is it India?

O my dear Insomnia!

You are so hard to be with

Yet you and I are still best pals

Remember?

And the more I hate you

The more you tend to love me.

I have heard

And heard voices

Most sounded like

Rushing water on pebbles

Thundering storm

Whirlwind struggling with trees

Rumbling waves of the sea

Thor striking his anvil

But none sounds like yours;

So distinct, so clear, so audible

So soothing and so bright

As polished gold

And oh,

Think not this as flattery

But as reality

Revealed in poetry.

The word

That word you spoke

The very one that cuts

Through butter with ease

Oh, they make me feel lazy

And want to just listen.
