IF PEOPLE RUST

Most people we love lust after others
yet even in their lust,
They expect in return trust
But if people could rust
I would wait to see whom to give my trust.

I would wait to see the fake ones-
The poorly alloyed, and galvanized,
The softly hardened and tempered
Who react easily with the mild atmospheric pressure of true love,
Those who cannot stand the harsh weathers of true friendship too.

I would wait, to see those who are not coated with trust,
But easily in their dishonesty rust
And swiftly with their disloyalty thrust.
But I wouldn’t wait till people rust,
Before to see whom to give my trust.
