NO MORE HOLD

~NO MORE HOLD~

When the centre does not matter
The hearts of people fail
And everyone begins to mutter.
When the eye can no more be specific
The world is seen in darkness
And everything is no more realistic
Every dream grows vague.

When the heart begins to fail and
Nothing is done
Or even nothing could be done
The lives of people are caught in jeopardy.

The centre can no more hold
Yet nothing can be done.

When the clothe can no more
Cover the chest
When the loosed knot cannot be untied
When the centre can no more hold
Can the centre boast it has a centre?

When the hand can no more feel the nipples of a coin
And men can no more sniff the necks of cheap things
When the lazy earth can no more retain water
And the tree cannot sway, can the centre
Say I have a centre?
