WHAT SHALL I DO?

WHAT SHALL I DO?

I don’t need a soft stuffed pillow
To dream of you,
For even when I lay my head
On granite to sleep,
I still dream of you.
You have become a part of me-
A thought of me
A feeling in me-
And a self within myself,
But if need be that I should prove-
Prove my love for you,
What shall I do?

Shall I write and recite you a poem?
Or, shall I tell you a folklore-
Where in it I be your Hero?
Shall I swallow the heaviest anchor
For you to know how firm
My heart, body, and soul
Is planted firmly deep in our love?

Shall I compose you a sonnet?
Or, shall I tell you a tale?
Nor, shall I hang my life on a tree
For your sakes like
Jesus did for mankind?

Or, Shall I fall to my knees like raindrops
And serve you as a slave serves his master
Nor Shall I stop breathing for you
Just for you to know how deep
I love you!
Shall I broadcast to the world
With a gramophone my love for you.
Shall I pluck you the moon,
Or carry the earth on my back for you-
What shall I do?
